Check out JNCL-NCLIS's Student Advocacy Academy!☺️ Share with someone who may need it.

Before: learning a language and seeing what it means to me

After: advocating for language learning to be a part of every student’s education

We’re excited to announce that we’ve added a summer installment of the CAL Literacy Institute: A Comprehensive Approach to Literacy Instruction for Multilingual Learners!
After an incredible response to our April institute, with educators asking for a summer option for continued learning, registration is now open for our July cohort through July 13.
This four-day virtual institute is designed for educators and leaders who want to strengthen literacy instruction for multilingual learners through a comprehensive, research-based approach. Together, we’ll explore:
• Oral language development
• Vocabulary and comprehension
• Foundational literacy skills
• Writing instruction
• Cross-linguistic connections
• Culturally and linguistically responsive practices
• Practical classroom applications for multilingual learners
At CAL, we believe literacy instruction should be meaningful, evidence-based, and affirming of students’ linguistic and cultural assets. We’re looking forward to another engaging learning experience with educators from across the country.
Registration is now open:
