Empowering at-risk young adults to escape poverty, abuse and despair through education & life skills.

We’re excited to share these photos from two of the mothers who participated in KCH’s micro-business training.

Through this program, mothers are gaining practical skills to manage and grow their businesses, strengthen their financial stability, and create greater opportunities for their families.

We’re proud to support women as they build toward greater independence and brighter futures. 🇭🇹

KCH on Haitian News 🇭🇹

Here’s what happened in Haiti this week:
Haiti defeated the Dominican Republic 4-1 before falling 2-0 to Costa Rica. Despite the loss, the Grenadiers finished second in their group and advanced to the Nations League quarterfinals.

The UN Security Council extended the mandate of the Gang Suppression Force through March 31, 2027. The Haitian government welcomed the extension while emphasizing the continued need for personnel and equipment. Meanwhile, violence and abductions remain a serious concern.

The government adopted a new national budget of roughly 401 billion gourdes for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, prioritizing security, elections, and economic recovery. More than 733,000 voters have registered since April.

Some families displaced by violence have begun returning to their home neighborhoods. Community kitchens and other assistance programs are providing food and support to families rebuilding their lives.

The federal trial of Christian Emmanuel Sanon continued in connection with the 2021 assassination of President Jovenel Moïse. Former First Lady Martine Moïse testified as the first witness.

KCH will be back next week with more news from Haiti. 🇭🇹

Did you know?

At KCH, education can open the door to long-term opportunity.

🎓 98% of students leave our program with a diploma.

💼 93% of our graduates find paid employment.

These numbers are reflective of what is possible when young people have access to education, support, and opportunities to build their futures.

Happy Feel Good Friday 💛 One of the most inspiring signs of growth within the KCH family is seeing our alumni return as active supporters and volunteers.

These former students have shown a strong desire to give back to the community that once believed in them. They recently elected the first KCH Alumni Board of Directors, created to support program development, networking, volunteering, fundraising, and continued investment in the KCH community.

From receiving support to becoming part of the team that helps others succeed, our alumni are helping shape the future of KCH 🇭🇹💛

School is about to start in Haiti, and our 68 students are ready to learn. 💛🇭🇹

After a difficult summer marked by insecurity and violence, returning to school offers our students more than an education. It provides stability, purpose, community, and a path toward a brighter future.

At KCH, the average cost of empowering one young adult is just $8.67 a day. This supports education, healthcare, food, housing, and a safety network of mentors and peers.

Help us get our students ready for the school year and give them the support they need to keep moving forward!

Back-to-School in Haiti - Our students need your help!

Will you help a student get back in the classroom this school year and open the door to a brighter future?

Right now, your gift can make double the impact: thanks to a few amazing donors, all donations will be matched up to $10,000!

Every KCH student grew up facing hardship—poverty, instability, or the loss of a parent’s income. Without an education, breaking that cycle is nearly impossible.

And now, ongoing violence in Haiti has put dozens of our students at risk of losing their education, housing, meals, and health care unless they find a sponsor.

Your gift can help make sure they don’t have to give up on their future.

Please, click on the link in the comments and help a student get back to school 💙
