Hello, My name is Zecketia Coleman; I am the owner, director and teacher of Little Emotions Childcare. I have been working in the childcare field since 2015 and now currently operating my own home-based childcare business. The reason I started this childcare service is that I noticed the lack of childcare resources in my community, and I wanted to give back using my passion for teaching and my love for children. I also wanted to change the fact that there are no childcare services available for families that work on the holidays. I am a mother of five, two boys and three girls in total. This hints at my love for children. I love how little minds work and enjoy helping them accomplish goals and prosper educationally. I have worked at several childcares in the Washington, DC area in order to advance my knowledge in early childhood and trained in preparation for opening my own childcare business. Our goal here at Little Emotions is to maintain a safe, healthy, and fun learning environment as we focus on each child's individual needs to ensure developmental milestones are met through the advancement of the major components of development social/emotional, cognitive, language/literacy, and physical development.
