The MSSD VEX Team 19800A swept the competition at this week’s NRSC Competition, placing first overall and earning both the Excellence Award and the Robot Skills Champion title.

The Excellence Award is the highest honor, recognizing overall performance in areas such as the engineering notebook, robot design, and teamwork. The Robot Skills Champion title reflects top performance in both driver-controlled and autonomous programming skills.

The team couldn’t have done it without their alliance with the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, winning two out of three rounds against the South Carolina School for the Deaf and American School for the Deaf.
