🖤❤️💚 Juneteenth — Freedom, History, and Reflection

Observed on June 19, Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, culture, and contributions of African Americans.
It marks the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Texas were finally informed of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

As a cultural exchange program, TAPIF values learning beyond the classroom. Juneteenth is a moment to reflect, listen, and continue important conversations about history, justice, and equality.
