Homegrown Education

Hello fellow parents,

With school buildings closed and possibly for a while, my teacher friends and I would like to assist in keeping students on track online with customized curriculum while also building in some opportunity for them to socialize in small groups (3-4). We are English Language Arts teachers with over a dozen years of experience each as Reading Specialists, SPED teachers, Advanced Placement, AVID and Social Justice backgrounds to address the literacy needs of children from various backgrounds. We're hosting French Youth Ambassadors at our school this week. Between Halloween and the Friday night football game, this has been quite a fun week to have them here.

In India for the summer studying sustainable development on a Fulbright scholarship. Today we visited the beautifully symmetrical Humayun's Tomb, in New Delhi, which the Taj Mahal is modeled after. Can't wait to see what India has to teach me.
