New York School for the Deaf - Fanwood is our newest State and School Partner with the Clerc Center.

Our team conducted a site visit with the school May 27-29. During this visit, our team met with leaders, teachers, staff, and students to learn more about the program, and provide a comprehensive review.

Thank you to the Fanwood community for welcoming us. A special thank you to Dr. Joseph Santini and his Executive Leadership team for their thoughtful coordination of the visit and warm reception.

Looking forward to this partnership.

Conferencing is more than feedback, it’s language development in action. When this teacher pushed the student to think more deeply about their language use, they were building metalinguistic awareness and sending a powerful message: I know you can go deeper in your ASL expression.

High expectations + intentional language support = growth.

This year marked a historic milestone for the Clerc Center as both schools successfully earned dual accreditation through the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools and the Conference of Educational Administrators of Schools and Programs for the Deaf.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our students, staff, families, and community partners who work every day to strengthen teaching, learning, student support, and innovation across the Clerc Center.

Dual accreditation is more than a recognition. It reflects our shared commitment to excellence in deaf education and continued growth for the future.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this milestone achievement.
