🎓 Before grad school, Isabel was working in a small village in Japan. Now she’s at GW, combining public diplomacy and East Asian studies to pursue a future in U.S.-Japan relations.

She talks about building a custom program path, connecting with professors, and finding unexpected inspiration—from a guest lecture to a government visit that sparked her final project.

📍 Curious what you can make of your time at GW? Isabel’s story shows how flexible and personal the Global Communication program can be.
