Each year, Black and Brown men from across our community line the entrance of Statesmen to welcome our scholars into a new school year. They show up to encourage and remind our boys that they are surrounded by men who believe in who they are and who they are becoming.

On the first day of school, Black and Brown men from across our community line the entrance to welcome every Statesmen scholar with encouragement, accountability, and the reminder that they are seen, valued, and capable of greatness.

This moment sets the tone for the year: our boys are surrounded by a village that believes in them.

Mr. Smith’s Cooking Class debuted their “Statesmen Catering” event by cooking & presenting staff with lemon herb chicken appetizers & steak & chicken skewers.

Mr. Jones’ Barbering Institute got a chance to show case what they learned this summer by demonstrating haircuts of their choice! The boys have been learning the techniques of barbering, along with customer service skills!
