Thanks to your help, we donated a variety of food and household items to our partner preschool, Jubilee Jumpstart. ❤️🦉💙

Families4Families is a grassroots program that empowers students to address the issue of food insecurity in their communities.

Last week was spirit week at Sheridan! We had a blast for Sheridan gear day, dress like a teacher/student day, wacky Wednesday, and pajama day! 🎉🦉❤️

For the second year in a row, we had the incredible honor of hosting middle school students from Colegio Carol Baur in Mexico. During their weeklong visit, they attended classes at Sheridan, stayed with Sheridan host families, and traveled around the city with our students.

This initiative is such a unique opportunity for our students to engage with peers from another culture, learn firsthand about life in Mexico, and share about their lives here in the DC area.

Thank you for coming to visit! Our students had so much fun sharing our school and connecting through sports, music, and dancing. What an unforgettable experience for all of us. ❤️🦉

Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week, and we are incredibly grateful for our caring and dedicated faculty and staff members here at Sheridan. ❤️

Our second annual 8th Grade Capstone trip to Alabama took place at the end of April, offering students and faculty alike a powerful opportunity to engage with the rich history of the Civil Rights Movement. Throughout the trip, students and faculty visited significant sites and memorials such as the Dexter Street Parsonage, the Richard Harris House, Freedom Memorial Sculpture Park, and more. The group also spent time community building and even went line dancing.

Throughout the whole trip, our students were able to deeply engage with the material, ask insightful questions, and participate in meaningful discussions and reflections. This experience created lasting memories and reaffirmed a shared commitment to working toward a more just future.

We are so proud of every student involved in Sheridan’s production of The SpongeBob Musical. It was incredible to witness the magic that our students bring to life on the stage. Congratulations on a fantastic spring 2026 musical!

Happy Earth Day from Sheridan! 🌱🌺☀️ We feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such inspiring outdoor spaces at both our City Campus and Mountain Campus. The beautiful and ever-changing natural world continues to be one of our greatest teachers, reminding us daily of the importance of caring for our planet through sustainability and conservation.

All year long our community finds meaningful ways to give back to the world around us. From participating in trash cleanups to gardening at Mountain Campus to exploring sustainability and permaculture, we love being actively engaged in environmental stewardship together! 💚🦉🦋
