While we did not have a Challenge Course showcase this semester, we can still share some incredible projects from our students! The group interviewed over a dozen female ambassadors- you can listen to clips of those interviews and learn more about the history of women in diplomacy on their site.

Honors students and American University Community-Based Research Scholars volunteered at We Are Family DC by delivering turkeys and groceries to local senior citizens

The Honors Cultures of Corruption Class recently visited the World Bank to sit in on their annual meetings and see first-hand how both the World Bank and IMF combat corruption in their various operations.

Professor Meiller's Pollution Solutions class visited the State Department and met with officials from the Office of Oceans and Polar Affairs. They discussed the office's goals and international efforts to combat plastic debris in our oceans.

Professor Bates' Cultures of Corruption class visited the Holocaust Memorial Museum and met with Holocaust survivor Manny Mandel.

Professor Esser's "What is Legitimacy?" class went to the Supreme Court where they learned about how female lawyers fought to be accepted as equal in the courtroom.

Honors students had the opportunity to go kayaking with AU Outdoors. Look at them go!
