This past Friday, Gallaudet SAA was happy to host Esty Brenowitz, a DeafBlind Protactile Instructor at Gallaudet, for a workshop on the basics of Protactile. Esty explained the development of Protactile as a language and provided some considerations for working with DeafBlind individuals. Audiology students and faculty were given the opportunity to practice Protactile signs and participated in an activity focused on co-presence. SAA extends our gratitude to Esty Brenowtiz for joining us for such a great event!
