The praise is delayed but not lessened. A big shout out and thank you to everyone who gathered at Ward 4s Emery Heights Community Center for gear, maps and heavy-duty trash bags for Mayor Bowser‘s 10th Annual Spring Cleanup. Attendees were mission driven and left no trash behind! It was a pleasure to meet you! 🌸🧹🪄

✌🏾ictory!

The Trump administration's guidance attempting to end DEI programs is no longer in effect and can't be enforced against anyone, anywhere nationwide.

Every student has a right to an inclusive education, free from censorship. This ruling affirms that all students have a right to a full and honest education that reflects the diversity of our communities and our full history.

🌟 Thank you for a wonderful Winter Workshop at Peirce Mill! ❄️
A huge shoutout to everyone who bundled up and joined us for Old-Time Toys & Games at historic Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park.

From cornhusk dolls to flip books, snap-lock critters and more — it was a joyful day of screen-free fun for all ages. New friends were made, creativity flowed, and plenty of masterpieces went home!

Deep gratitude to our amazing volunteer docents for sharing their knowledge, and to Angela Kramer, Executive Director of Friends of Peirce Mill, for inviting us to team up once again for this enriching community event.
