Help the environment and the local community by donating gently-used items through Georgetown's Move Out Drive
The MoveOut Drive is Georgetown’s end of the year contribution to our community and the environment. As students are cleaning out their room or apartment, they can easily donate their gently used items to local families in need while also reducing the amount of waste going to landfills. We work with KEYS for the Homeless and other charity partners to ensure that each donation is made truly useful for those who need them most.

Yesterday, the annual Spring Into Service: MoveOut Drive at Georgetown University sent off our first truck-load full of gently-used, donated household goods to our charity partner, KEYS for the Homeless! In its first week, we've already filled 8 storage PODS across campus, keeping these items out of a landfill and into the hands of families and individuals in our region living in poverty. Thank you to ALL who are donating and helping support the program! Here a few photos from our first week. The MoveOut Drive's first-ever clothing swap was a blast! We collected a full room of unwanted clothing from , and we donated 8 large bags of unswapped clothing to KEYS for the Homeless. Thanks to our partners Georgetown University Office of Sustainability and Georgetown University Student Association - GUSA!

Hey Guys, As you're moving out its really easy to just throw everything away, but Georgetown has a great program to donate reusable items to families throughout DC.
