Global Kids DC students explored the National Museum of African American History and Culture Learning Lab! 🏛️🔎 They connected with history through objects, images, and stories. Where they ended up discovering new trailblazers, changemakers, and civil rights history. An inspiring hands-on experience!

A showcase of poems, posters, and art celebrating Black artists and movements—our students are bringing Black history to life through creativity! 🎨
Global Kids DC showed up and showed out at Bread for the City! 💙 Our students stocked over 300 pounds of fresh fruits and veggies 🥦🍎—so fast they even finished early! They worked hard, loved every minute, and can’t wait to go back. Giving back, having fun, and making an impact—that’s what it’s all about! 💪✨

#5 in our of 2024 - Witnessing Youth Leadership in ACTION!
Our GK youth turned learning into action this year through student-led action projects, tackling critical issues in their communities with creativity, research, and advocacy. From addressing education equity to food insecurity, students developed real-world solutions and amplified their voices to drive change.
Youth in DC and NYC took part in Summer Institute where they examined some of the world's most pressing issues, climate change, global economics, women’s rights, artificial intelligence and so much more. With guest speakers and specialists' visits, youth were able to engage with professionals in the field who are working to address these issues. At the end of the program, youth in NYC presented their final action projects at the Canadian Consulate, sharing their final plans for mobilizing on an issue of their choosing.

This year, young people representing Global Kids made waves across TV, print, and online outlets as they faced off in Teen Battle Chef, engaged in service learning by brightening up a local community's elementary school on the ground in Costa Rica, shared their experiences as Latinx youth leaders on WABC’s Tiempo, showcased their academic achievements as Posse scholars on QNS and BronxNet, and highlighted the transformative power of Global Kids programs across TV news features that aired on Fox 5 DC, Pix11 news, and News12 in Brooklyn and the Bronx.
🍪 Students from Columbia Heights Education Campus () turned their passion into action with a bake sale to support the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF). The funds will help provide crucial support to youth in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. 🌍💡
