The Karabakh Foundation and its Board of Directors are very sad to have learned about the passing of its chairman of the Board of Advisers, Prof. Tadeusz Swietochowski. The Professor, or Pan Tadeusz as we affectionately called him to express deep respect for his Polish heritage was a renowned expert on Azerbaijan history, author of one of the earliest -- 1985 -- books on the history of Azerbaijan published in the U.S. academic press, author of many scholarly articles on Azerbaijan in academic journals since the 1970s. He will always be greatly missed! As Polish people say, niech spoczywa w pokoju!
