RE-volv's Solar Ambassador Program is a unique opportunity for college students to develop key project management and communication skills while tangibly taking action on climate change through solar energy. Student teams receive in-depth training in solar energy policy, financing, crowdfunding and community organizing to deploy a solar energy project for a local nonprofit.

~ This week our team met and discussed our continued hunt for a non-profit. We are working with a solar installer in hopes that their clients may be interested in working with RE-volv! Know of an interested non-profit (that owns their building) and is considering solar energy? Senf them to us!

Last but not least, we have Sarah Givens! Sarah is a sophomore studying International Relations and serves on our Event Planning Committee. In regard to her involvement in RE-volv she says "I'm apart of RE-volv because of my passion for renewable energy and my belief in that switching to solar is one of the easiest ways our society can begin to combat climate change." Thank you, Sarah, for being a vital part of our team!

Happy Friday! Here's our recap for the week: we are now an official club on campus and are really excited to start tabling and getting more people on campus interested in joining our project! Tessa Wright is a sophomore studying International Relations and is on the Grant Writing Committee! In regards to why she joined RE-volv she says "I decided to join re-volv because I wanted to learn more about solar energy in general. I have always been fascinated by solar panels and wanted to learn while doing. I wanted to be part of something bigger than me that can help the environment and push back against climate change. I am thrilled with what I have learned so far, and cannot wait to learn more when we start working with actual solar panels."

Zainab Mirza is a sophomore studying International Relations and Environmental Studies. She is on the Social Media Committee. In regards to why she joined RE-volv, Zainab says "I want to have a better understanding of the technical aspects of solar energy. I also love that in RE-volv’s mission statement they strive to educate the community and I am looking forward to that aspect of our project.”

Another great week for AU Solar Ambassadors! We have made connections with potential partnerships and are still looking for interested non-profits! Today we have our twice a month video call with RE-volv National Team & the other 7 chapters around the United States. We look forward to hearing from a guest speaker today, a member of the board who will discuss current events involving the solar industry.
