The Arts Institute for Creative Advancement (AICA) engages young adults ages 18-24 who have encountered obstacles to a high-wage career path and prepares them to become technicians in the high-demand field of theatre production (lighting and audio engineering for the stage, set construction, stage management, and more). Students are paid for every hour that they learn and work, and they will apprentice in professional theatres across the DC area.
As a member of the DC Arts Education Alliance, Levine is a proud partner of AICA. Through shared resources, synergistic programming, and a collective commitment to equity and inclusion, AICA will leverage the collective and creative power of leading arts education institutions in the District of Columbia.

Congratulations to Levine alum Camilo Gonzalez-Sol who was recently awarded the ASCAP Foundation 2022 Morton Gould Young Composer Award Honorable Mention!
Camilo is a composer, pianist and conductor based in Austin, Texas. Inspired by mental life, bodily energy, storytelling and societal dilemmas, they are fascinated by the ways that sound can represent these to create thought-provoking and compassionate sensory experiences.
At Levine, Camilo studied composition with Sis McKay and received a Jack Kent Cooke Fellowship. Camilo holds degrees in composition and philosophy from the University of Southern California and is currently a Recruitment Fellow of The University of Texas at Austin - Butler School of Music.
We're excited to welcome Dr. Ceylon Mitchell, Flutist to our flute faculty! ๐ In addition to being a seasoned music educator, he's also a Strathmore Arts AIR Alum and recently completed his Doctor of Musical Arts from University of Maryland! ๐ถ
