Happy Father's Day from all of us at Levine Music!

06/17/2023

In observance of the Federal holiday, Juneteenth National Independence Day, all campuses will be closed on Monday, June 19.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce that enslaved people were finally free. This came two years after Abraham Lincoln's official Emancipation Proclamation ending slavery in the United States.

The day is one of the longest-held African American holidays and has been called America's second Independence Day. It's a celebration of African American culture, heritage, and resilience. Whether you choose to participate in community events, educate yourself on African American history, or spend quality time with loved ones, we hope this day serves as a reminder of the progress we have made and the work that still lies ahead.
