Wonderful to catch up with Bill Clifford, President and CEO at The World Affairs Councils of America, on the eve of the holiday season.
Our student scholarship recipient, Tammalivis Salanoa, returned home from Washington, D.C. where she attended the The World Affairs Councils of America 2022 National Conference: Navigating a Fractured World. We are so honored that she was able to attend and represent our community at such an important event. Below she shares about her experience:

"As a first generation college student it has been such an honor to represent my community in Washington, D.C. I will strive to use the connections and resources I've gained to help better educate the next generation on the importance of foreign affairs. This wouldn't have been possible if not for the generosity of both the Alaska World Affairs Council and all the members that make this amazing organization possible. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for all for this opportunity!"
Come learn about South Korea and US relationship in light of world events, and sample delicious Korean appetizers from local restaurants: Sunhee's Farm and Kitchen and Son of Egg! Free and open to the public, RSVP to reserve your spot!

What a pleasure to attend The World Affairs Councils of America 2022 National Conference, themed "Navigating a Fractured World," last week in Washington DC!

The Conference featured an array of excellent speakers and timely programs, and we were delighted to reconnect with friends and colleagues across the WACA network. Not only that, but we were joined by some familiar faces -- members of our very own WorldBoston community.

Many thanks to the WACA team, and see you again next year!
Last week, members of our team attended the The World Affairs Councils of America National Conference, engaging with potential speakers and fellow Councils from around the nation, all while exploring best practices and sharing our own tips!
Wonderful to host The World Affairs Councils of America family members at The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Washington, D.C. as they have gathered in D.C. for the Annual National Conference. WACA has always been an unalienable part of my itinerary while traveling across the U.S. connecting to local government, businesses, academia, and communities.
Grateful for this past week of speakers and networking at The World Affairs Councils of America National Conference in DC!
What a great morning discussion on regions and economics with Shannon K. O'Neil at the The World Affairs Councils of America National Conference. Join us Nov 30 when we host Dr. O'Neil in Boston!

“Multi-Domain Operations is the way for NATO to keep its edge” – stated today NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Transformation General Philippe Lavigne at The World Affairs Councils of America National Conference. General Lavigne joined a dialogue about the United States' role in the world and delivered a keynote speech on and the Future of Warfare.

In his speech, General Lavigne highlighted that the vision of Multi-Domain Operations is adapting the Alliance to enable NATO forces to operate with agility and unity across all five domains - land, air, sea, space and cyber. “Multi-Domain Operations will guarantee that all levels of command have a real-time awareness of delivered and available effects, allowing seamless synchronization. And on the battlefield, Multi-Domain Operations will enable a warfighter to leverage any available sensor or effector, military or not, across all domains,” said General Lavigne.

For nearly four decades, The World Affairs Councils of America National Conference has brought World Affairs Council leaders and members to engage with top government officials, diplomats, business executives, innovators, journalists, educators, and students on the most pressing global issues and policy choices.
