What a day yesterday for the Italian students of the Innovatory of Music! First a visit to Columbia Heights Educational Campus (CHEC) to meet with Music students. They answered questions about music career, talent shows, and their own musical journey. They also performed for CHEC and listened to an amazing young singer from the school.
Then, a visit to the Italian Embassy, welcomed by fusco Direttrice dell'Ufficio Scuola dell'Ambasciata Italiana a Washington DC. Finally, a wonderful and memorable meeting with jazz master and mentor Davey Yarborough (Washington Jazz Arts Institute, Duke Ellington School of the Arts).
Thanks to il Canale for making a delicious, true Italian pizza for us after such a marvellous day!
