Employers are hiring for skills, not just degrees, and that's good news for our Scholars. First-gen students across the region are building job-ready skills every day through advising, career coaching, and programs like our Career Launch. Survey data from National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) shows most employers now hire this way.

📢Big news for New Futures! We are incredibly proud to announce that New Futures has been awarded an Impact Grant from the Fulton Forward Foundation!

This vital funding will directly support our Scholars Program, specifically expanding our customized, 1:1 academic advising. Navigating higher education can be complex, and personalized guidance ensures our Scholars overcome obstacles and stay on the path toward degree completion. Through individualized support, we are building structural economic mobility and long-term financial security across our community, one Scholar at a time.

At New Futures, we believe rest is not a pause from the work, it is part of how we sustain the work.

From July 3–10, our team is stepping back for Community Care Week, an annual week of guilt-free paid time off for our staff to focus on self-care. We'll return on July 13th, renewed and ready.

The mission we share — clearing the path to possibility for our Scholars — is a long-haul commitment. And showing up for it, year after year, means taking care of the people who carry it forward.
