Who doesn’t love a hood science project. No matter what age, what group this has always been a fan favorite. The Soda geyser, dropping mentos into Diet Coke and watching the reaction. Learning doesn’t have to be boring at all.

What are you reading with your little ones. Every Wednesday we will drop a book recommendation. Where hands go is an age appropriate book that explores with your toddler safe touch vs unsafe touch. This is SO IMPORTANT! Beginning these conversations when they are young is imperative. Teachers we can also use this book in our classrooms and use for group discussions with our toddlers. Happy reading 📕!

Hey 👋🏾 Parents, I know you don’t want to hear this but, let your little ones make messes. It’s OK! Theres so many benefits that come from those messes. One, their little senses are completely activated, they can touch, feel, smell, and even observe the way things work and develop interest. Hands-on fun improves dexterity and fine motor skills and messy play expands on those vital developmental skills. This includes spatial awareness and hand eye coordination. ☺️🙃 Oh, don’t miss those opportunities of reassurance to let them know it’s ok! Making a mess is ok!

Not only is hand/finger painting fun but it gives children the opportunity to learn colors, shapes, and use their senses such as touch, smell, and hearing. Hand painting also helps improve fine motor development by strengthening those little hand and finger muscles. Paint 🎨 day can be super fun and easy to incorporate into arts and crafts time.
