You can know the correct English and still say it wrong when you speak.

Speaking forces your brain to juggle too many things at once: listening, planning your idea, finding words, building the sentence, pronouncing it, etc.

If too much of that still takes effort, mistakes happen. Even the ones you already “know.”

If you want weekly tips that make this process easier, sign up for my email list (link in bio). Or comment “link” and I’ll send it to you!

In 2016, I moved from Dubai, where I’d been living for a while, to Georgia. The country, not the state. 🇬🇪

There, I took CELTA, the course from Cambridge for those who want to teach English in an evidence-based way. To my surprise, I loved it, and got the highest score, Pass A. 😇

It was time to find a teaching job to apply everything I’d learned. The job “had” to be well-paid and in a new “cool” country.

My husband (then boyfriend) and I decided to move to China and teach there. 🇨🇳

Leave 🔥 in the comments if you’d like me to share more about any of this.

Should I start a new page?

It’s one of those things that’s really obvious AFTER someone has said it out loud. 😜
