This spring, 179 language teachers from Central Asia completed the virtual phase of the C5 + O.N.E. Ed program! The teachers learned about the importance of Communicative Language Teaching and student-centered lesson plans. Later this month, they will gather for a four-week, in-person intensive in Kazakhstan. This April, four professionals from Tajikistan explored U.S. best practices in through the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)! 🇹🇯🇺🇸

While in the U.S., they traveled to four cities across the country and discussed data security, citizen privacy, and anti-fraud measures with government officials and thought leaders.

Meet Jennifer Chen, the director of virtual programming at World Learning! Chen originally joined in 2016 to help build The Experiment Digital, and left for a time to work at Meta on its Education Partnerships team. She returned to World Learning in her current role in 2023.

We caught up with Chen to ask about her thoughts on how programs have evolved over the years and the important role they play in providing educational opportunities for all.
