Who else is headed to NHRMA - Northwest Human Resource Management Association's 2026 Conference in Spokane next week?! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

The agenda is packed! Here's where I'd spend my time.

I looked at all the sessions through one lens:

What actually helps leaders navigate the challenges their teams are facing right now?

These 5 are worth your time:

Excited to be heading to Nashville, TN in a few weeks! ๐ŸŽ‰

On September 23, Iโ€™ll be opening the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants' Womenโ€™s Leadership Conference with a session on:

๐Ÿง  Master Your Mental Fitness: Strengthen Your Mind, Reduce Stress & Perform at Your Best

Weโ€™ll dig into the mental habits that quietly get in our way and practical strategies to navigate stress, pressure, and competing priorities with greater resilience and intention.

If youโ€™re in Nashville (or want a reason to come!), Iโ€™d love to see you there!

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Join us on September 23 at the Loveless Barn in Nashville.

I'm completely WIPED OUT ๐Ÿ˜ด AND completely ENERGIZED ๐Ÿ˜Ž Is that possible?!

Just got home from ASAE The Center for Association Leadership's Annual Meeting & Expo.

I spoke all three days, which was equal parts exhilarating and what was I thinking?!
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Saturday: Mastering Mental Fitness for Purposeful Leadership
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Sunday: Mastering the Art of Celebrating Wins
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Monday: Building Mental Fitness mini-session

And somewhere in between, I:
๐Ÿ’ž Met so many new faces
๐Ÿ’ž Reconnected with people I haven't seen in far too long
๐Ÿ’ž Played a ridiculous number of silly games in the exhibitor hall
๐Ÿ’ž Had conversations that sparked new ideas, collaborations, and friendships
๐Ÿ’ž And got to see Babyface perform live!

There's something special about the association world. It's built on relationships. It's deeply human. And that's something AI can never replace.

People make time to reconnect. They introduce you to someone you should know. They share ideas and resources. They cheer each other on.

And the icing on the cake? Hearing the impact of my work on people who attended.

One of my favorite comments: โ€œCelebration is a muscleโ€”one that Iโ€™ve let atrophy. Amy gave me a framework to get it moving again.โ€

THAT is why I love doing this work. ๐Ÿ’ž
Thank you, ASAE, for an incredible few days.

Now excuse me while I recover. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Itโ€™s live! ๐ŸŽ‰ Over the past several months, my team and I have been digging into one question:
What does it actually take to align and mobilize teams for AI transformation?

We interviewed 12 senior executives leading AI transformation across industries and analyzed patterns from our work with 60+ leadership teams.

And today, Iโ€™m THRILLED to share what we learned.
๐Ÿ“˜ Our new Executive Insights Report: What It Actually Takes to Align and Mobilize Teams for AI Transformation

One of the biggest takeaways?
AI isnโ€™t the hardest part of transformation. Getting people aligned and moving in the same direction is.

And most organizations underestimate this.

The organizations pulling ahead arenโ€™t simply becoming better at AI.
Theyโ€™re becoming better at leading change.

๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ Get the full report:
https://amyyip.co

BONUS: The research isnโ€™t ending with the report!

Weโ€™re bringing several of the executives we interviewed back together for a 3-part Executive Insights Briefing Series to go beyond what made it onto the page.

Weโ€™ll talk candidly about what worked, what surprised them, what theyโ€™d do differently, and what leaders navigating AI transformation should be thinking about now.

THREE LIVE CONVERSATIONS | 11:00AM - 12:00PM ET
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Aug 19: Creating the Conditions for AI Adoption
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Sept 2: Scaling AI Without Losing Alignment
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Sept 16: Making AI Transformation Stick

Thrilled to share that I'll be speaking twice at the 2026 NHRMA - Northwest Human Resource Management Association Conference in Spokane this September!

๐Ÿ“ Wednesday, September 9
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
The Team Alignment Playbook: 3 Strategies to Turn Siloed Teams into Collaborative Powerhouses

๐Ÿ’ฐ Organizations lose an average of $109M for every $1B spent on projects because teams aren't aligned on goals and ex*****on.

That's more than $2M a week slipping through the cracks.

The default?
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Another well-intentioned offsite with great energy but little follow-through
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ More one-and-done training
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ More meetings, more emails, more communication

It feels like progress.
But the same conversations keep happening.

In this session, I'll share why misalignment persists and three practical strategies leaders can use to build teams that execute with clarity, collaborate with trust, and deliver stronger results.

๐Ÿ“ Then join me on Thursday, September 10
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
Culture Isn't a Perk. It's a Strategy.

I'll be joining an incredible panel including Amanda Austin, Wendy Brand, and Devin C Hughes as we explore what it really takes to build cultures that drive engagement, retention, and performance.

If you'll be in Spokane, I'd love to connect. Hope to see you there!

Yesterday I turned 45. I was celebrating with grizzly bears in Glacier National Park.

Birthdays have a funny way of making you reflect.

This year, I realized something I'd never really thought about before.

We spend every birthday celebrating the person who arrived.

We rarely stop to celebrate the person who made that arrival possible.

45 years ago, my mom had a plan: take a month off before I arrived. Rest. Prepare.

I had other plans.

I showed up the day after her last day of work.

So much for that month off! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Now that I'm a mother myself, I understand so much more about what those early years must have been like for her.

It's impossible to fully appreciate everything your parents did for you until you find yourself doing those same things for your own children.

My mom worked two jobs, often 16-hour days, six days a week. Somehow, in between, she still cooked our meals, kept our home running, drove three kids everywhere we needed to be, and made sure we always knew we were loved.

She didn't just give me life. She showed me how to live it.

She taught me what resilience looks like.

She taught me what unconditional love looks like.

And she showed me the kind of mother I wanted to become.

So as I celebrate another year of life, I also want to celebrate the woman who gave me mine.

Thank you, Mom, for everything you gave long before I was old enough to appreciate it, every lesson you taught without saying a word, and for loving me through every version of myself... even the ones that weren't easy to love. ๐Ÿ˜‡

Without you, there wouldn't have been a birthday for me to celebrate.

I hope you know how grateful I am to be your daughter. โค๏ธ

Super excited to share a success story of a client engagement that we recently completed!

We supported a 40-person regional association that was navigating constant change, heavy workloads, and rising stress.

Through our Rapid Response Resilience Program, in just 90 days, they achieved:

โœ… 16.9% improvement in Wellbeing, Stress & Burnout Prevention

โœ… 6.2% improvement in Adapting to Change

โœ… 5.5% improvement in Navigating Uncertainty & Ambiguity

The metrics matter less than what they represent:

The team changed how they worked.

They made more time to restore energy.

They were able to catch stress before it became overwhelm.

That's resilience. And we're so proud to be a part of their journey!

Is your organization going through tremendous amounts of change?

We'd be happy to connect and share more details about how we help organizations, so that if and when you need support with the types of things we do, you'll already have us in your back pocket!

You are more than your title.

Lately, it feels like every time I open LinkedIn, another talented person is sharing that they've been laid off.

If you've recently lost your job, the financial stress is real. The uncertainty is real. The grief is real.

But one thing I hope you don't lose is your sense of self.

A title is something you hold. A company is somewhere you work. Neither defines who you are.

Your judgment. Your character. Your integrity. Your relationships. Those things will continue to belong to you, even when the title doesn't.

Give yourself permission to grieve. Then, when you're ready, lean on your network. Ask for help. Let people support you.

You are more than your title. You are more than the company you work for. Always.

BIG HUGS,

Amy

Full circle moment!! A few years ago, my firm had our first opportunity to partner with Kenvue, and Reed Harris was the leader who championed bringing us in.

Since then, we've had the privilege of supporting multiple Kenvue teams.

This week, I returned to Kenvue's beautiful new headquarters to support the Kenvue North America People Team during their onsite, and Reed was again the leader who championed bringing us in.

We spent time together exploring how to build Mental Fitness to lead through significant organizational change.

My favorite moment: someone said to me, "My mind is blown! Everyone at Kenvue needs to experience this.'

Thank you, Reed, for your continued trust and partnership, and thank you to the entire Kenvue NA People Team for your openness, engagement, and willingness to invest in yourselves and one another.

As organizations continue to navigate constant change, technical skills alone aren't enough. The leaders who thrive will be those who strengthen the mental fitness to respond with clarity, resilience, and intention.
