Cleaning a cast iron pan is easy! No dishwashers! Properly cared for, this durable skillet will just keep getting better with age. Here's how to take care of a cast-iron skillet.
To clean, just use mild dish soap and a scouring pad or a cast iron pan cleaning brush. Wash it, scrub it, rinse it, then wipe it out well and season it with a few drops of oil, and store it with a paper towel covering the cooking surface.
Besides soap and a scrubby, you can also use some really hot water and a spatula to take off seriously burnt-on food. It's how cooks clean flat-top grills in a restaurant, so it'll work for you, too.
It's cleaned and rinsed, now make sure the rust doesn't come back. It's easy: just turn the burner too high, set the pan on it, and wait for the water to boil out. That cast iron is practically parched now.
Now, it's clean and dry, but you want it seasoned. ""Seasoning"" is, basically, oil bonding to the iron. Just follow these 2 easy steps:
1. Heat your clean cast iron pan on the stove until it's crazy hot.
2. Pour a little canola oil or flaxseed oil on a wad of paper towel and rub it all over the pan. Do not touch that hot pan with your unprotected hand. Then wipe the surface with a clean paper towel to remove excess oil. You do NOT want a thick slick of oil on your pan, otherwise, you'll end up with a sticky, gummy mess. Let the pan cool.
And that's how to season a cast iron pan!
Easy, right?

Are you feeling tired all the time? You could be fatigued.
To most, fatigue is more than just feeling sleepy. It is an ongoing feeling of exhaustion that may be physical, mental, or emotional in nature. It is not resolved by a single good night’s sleep or by taking a nap.
Fatigue can present in an array of ways. The symptoms of fatigue include but are not limited to:
- Subjective sense of weakness
- Difficulty or inability to initiate activity
- Easily fatigued
- Reduced capacity to maintain activity
- Mental fatigue
- Difficulty with concentration, memory, or emotional stability
Fatigue makes it harder to function at your best. It is also a contributor to errors in judgment, and workplace and traffic accidents and injuries.
There are a number of things that can directly cause fatigue. These fatigue causes may be medical, psychological, or based on your lifestyle choices.
Here are 5 common reasons for feeling constantly tired.
1. DIET
A healthy diet provides the energy you need for your day and the nutrients you need for health and vitality.
Living on junk food will also leave you tired because your food is not nourishing you. Fast food is high in refined carbohydrates. They make your blood sugar spike, causing a surge of insulin to drop your sugar back down. And that leaves you feeling tired.
2. LACK OF EXERCISE
Exercising regularly and being fit is essential for the function of the body and mind, and to boost energy levels. Exercise also reduces stress.
It’s hard to find the motivation to exercise when you’re tired. But dragging yourself out for a walk, a jog or a bike ride could be just the thing you need to increase your energy levels.
3. POOR SLEEP
Poor sleep will definitely make you tired!
It’s easy to think of sleep as something that just happens but, in fact, your sleep quality is influenced by the way you live.
You can have too little or too much sleep. We know that too little sleep will result in tiredness, but so can too much sleep. Most adults require around 8 hours of sleep per night for the mind and body to function optimally; more than this however can result in daytime sleepiness.
4. STRESS
Stress drains you. Tense muscles, lethargy, difficulty concentrating, whirring thoughts, disturbed sleep, and deep tiredness are all outcomes of chronic stress.
If you have anxiety and/or depression, this can also make your tiredness worse. These common mental health issues often present with fatigue as a major symptom – yet fatigue can also be the cause of feelings of anxiety or depression.
5. MEDICAL CONDITIONS
There are many underlying medical conditions that can make you feel tired all the time. Those include:
- Diabetes
- Thyroid Disease
- Food Intolerance
- Being Overweight/Underweight
- Glandular Fever (Epstein-Barr Virus)
Other diseases that may cause fatigue include heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, intestinal parasites, and cancer.
Fatigue in itself is not a bad thing. It is a normal response to other things happening in your life and in your body.
Making some changes around self-care, work, diet, etc., during this time will often help with the fatigue and have other positive effects on your life.

How to be the best at a job interview?
When preparing for a job interview we often have in mind the questions that interest us the most and that we would ask the employer. On that occasion, we can ignore how we will present ourselves, how they will evaluate us, and what are the issues that interest the employer the most.
They say that a suit does not make a man, but keep in mind that the first impression is the strongest. So always go neatly dressed in a combination that will leave the impression of a serious business candidate.
Present your resume according to the facts that are true. You talk measuredly but confidently about your education and work experience.
Emphasize your virtues, but also emphasize what you want to improve in yourself. With this performance, you will present yourself as a reliable, honest candidate who is both self-aware and ready to learn.
Through the questions that the employer asks you in the interview, discreetly follow up on the questions asked to him about his company, way of working, and business results, in order to show interest, flexibility, and helpfulness.
Don't forget to go for a conversation with a smile. You have to trust yourself in order for others to believe in you. Let your energy send the message that you are a positive, constructive, helpful, and flexible collaborator.
Good luck!
