Garfield’s Student Activities Sponsors Thanksgiving Basket Drive:

Greetings Garfield Family,

Garfield’s Student Council, Safety Patrol, and National Elementary Honor Society are once again hosting a Thanksgiving Day Basket Drive to help families in need. By making a donation of just one basket, you and your loved ones can support a family for whom it is difficult to provide a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal and make their holiday brighter.

Completed baskets are due by 5:00 PM on Friday, November 19th at Garfield ES.

List of items to Include in Thanksgiving Baskets:

$20 gift card from Giant or Safeway (for purchase of a turkey)
* Turkey gravy
* Stuffing
* Instant mashed potatoes mix
* Cranberry sauce
* Canned yams
*Canned vegetables (corn or peas)
* Canned fruits
* Pie crust mix
* Pie filling
*Rice
*Pasta
* Bread mixes (e.g. pumpkin, gingerbread, etc.)
* Bisquick
* Applesauce
* Bottled beverages (e.g. juice)
* Decorative Thanksgiving napkins and/or plates
* Thanksgiving Day card from your group
* Basket for items
