Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a powerful day in American history that marks the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom.

Juneteenth is more than a historical milestone—it is a celebration of resilience, liberation, culture, and progress. It’s a time to reflect on the struggles and achievements of Black Americans and to continue working toward justice and equality for all.

Let us honor this day by learning, listening, and lifting up the voices that have shaped and continue to shape our collective future.

From field games to water battles, our scholars had an absolute blast at Field Day! Laughter filled the air, teamwork was everywhere, and memories were made that’ll last all summer long. 🖤💛

From sprints to distance runs, relays to field events, our athletes showed incredible heart, determination, and teamwork. Your hard work and dedication paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you!

Please ensure your student (s) are here by 9:00am so that they can take their assessment with their class.
