Growth doesn’t happen in your comfort zone. It happens when you step into new roles, take on responsibilities that stretch you, and trust the training you’ve worked hard to build.
Every “yes” is an opportunity to sharpen your skills, build confidence, and discover what you’re truly capable of at the bedside. You won’t know everything and that’s exactly the point.
Stay curious. Stay coachable. Stay willing.
That’s how good clinicians become great ones.

Celebrating the Heart of Healthcare: Happy Nurses Week!
To the healers, the listeners, and the silent warriors in scrubs this week is for you. Nursing isn’t just a career; it’s a masterclass in resilience and empathy. From the high-stakes adrenaline of the ER to the steady, comforting presence in long-term care, nurses are the backbone of every community.

Take a moment today to tag a nurse who has made an impact on your life or share a story of a time a nurse went above and beyond. Let’s make sure they know their hard work never goes unnoticed.

I could not be more proud of these two. They represented with excellence and brought home 1st and 3rd place at the TSRC South Region Poster Presentations.

Their hard work, discipline, and commitment to growth continue to set the standard. This is what it looks like to invest in the process and rise to the occasion.

The future of respiratory care is in good hands.

This day has always been one of celebration, and I’m truly grateful for all the birthday wishes. They mean more to me than you know.
For me today also comes with reflection. Sharing a birthday with my dad will always make this day special in a different way. I find myself remembering the lessons he taught me, the memories we built, and the morals he instilled. These things will never be forgotten.
One of our traditions was spending our day on the golf course, doing something we loved together and surrounding ourselves with the people we care about most. That tradition will live on with me, always.
I love you, Pops. Thank you for everything. ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

One of the places I worked was part of the team that helped perfect APRV. Looking back, it wasn’t just about the technique or the innovation. It was the culture.
When you’re surrounded by strong clinicians who push each other, support each other, and take pride in what they do that’s where growth happens. That’s why people stay… Because the culture of continual progression is so strong.

I love my patients. I love this profession.

But if my wife is in eminent danger… My priorities change!

There are moments in life that you don’t get back. And no policy, no storm, no staffing grid changes that.

We can talk about responsibility, but we also have to talk about priorities.

Whether it’s in black and white or full HD color your kindness, strength, and full worship shape every space you walk into. You love deeply, give generously, and care for others in a way that reflects Christ so clearly. I am grateful for who you are and the love you bring into our lives every day.

POCUS day is one of my favorite day.
From A-lines to “aha” moments… this is why I teach. Let us build clinicians who see, think, and act with purpose.

Forgot to post the blooper about the best gift I received from my father in law! Everyone needs a farting ninja… and maybe some fiber.
