At Parent ProTech, we believe preparing students for safe and responsible use starts with two simple ideas:
🔹 Start the conversation early
🔹Teach technology as a tool

These two ideas guided our presentation at the statewide RCS Workday Conference, hosted by ESC Region 13 in Austin, where our team had the opportunity to connect with Regional Counselor Specialists from across Texas. ☝

Throughout the day, conversations centered on the role of trusted adults in helping build healthier relationships with technology.

“We spent an inspiring day with ESC Regional Counselor Specialists from across Texas, diving deep into the critical role trusted adults play in helping students build healthier tech habits.” — Amanda Respondek

With the growing influence of AI and rapidly evolving technology, school counselors don’t need to know every new app or trend. What matters most is having practical, reliable resources that help them guide students and families with confidence. That’s exactly what this work is designed to support.

▶️ The takeaway was clear: when trusted adults are equipped and engaged, students are better able to slow down, think critically, and make intentional choices in a fast-moving digital world.

"The real highlight was being in a room full of professionals doing amazing work every day to support students, families, and school communities. Their passion, expertise, and commitment to helping kids thrive is inspiring, and I'm grateful Parent ProTech gets to be part of that conversation." —Krystina O’Bryant, M. Ed

Thank you to Region 13 for hosting, and to the Texas school counselors working tirelessly every day to help kids thrive. 💙

Parent ProTech is so grateful to be a trusted partner for this vital work!
