�THIS WAS US! For years, the idea of starting a math learning center has been concocted among a group of friends. Years of our collective knowledge, experience, and innovation converged to developing an exciting Math and Science enrichment program designed to build not only a strong math foundation in kids, but also develop analytic abilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. From rockets and satellites to exploring distant worlds, space exploration brings together science, technology, engineering, and math in exciting ways.

This year’s theme, “Rocket Revolution,” highlights how advances in rocket technology are changing the way we reach and explore space.

At Avatar Learning Center, we believe curiosity is where great learning begins. Whether students are solving a challenging math problem, exploring science, or learning to code, STEM skills can help them turn big questions into new possibilities.

In this lesson, Miss Irena guides students through a multi-step problem, showing how breaking down each part can make the solution easier to understand and follow.

The moment a kid stops guessing and starts thinking? That's the whole point. ✨

MOEMS isn't a speed test on math facts. It's a chance for kids to do something way more interesting: look at an unfamiliar problem, figure out what matters, try an idea, and explain why it worked.

And once they have a routine, hard problems stop feeling scary.

Here's the one we teach:
1️⃣ Read it twice — what is it really asking?
2️⃣ Draw it. Picture, table, list, anything.
3️⃣ Try something, then check: does this make sense?
4️⃣ Look for a cleaner way.
