“Oh Lord, you know all my longing, my groans are not hidden from you. My heart throbs, my strength is spent; the very light has gone from my eyes.” Psalm 38 from Tenebrae, the Office of Shadows.
As we enter the Sacred Triduum, may we unite our longings and sufferings with Christ on the Cross, and know He is with us and redeems all things.

🌈 So grateful to get to share the Church teaching on gender at my parish, St. Benedict this evening.
🌈 We explored Scripture and Tradition, historical and cultural trends, and how to respond with truth and love.
🌈 Take 5 minutes to journal about how you share the gift of your body with others around you, as a witness to Love, and how you receive the gift of others.

🤍 Did you know that our bodies will be reunited with our souls at the end of time? We say “I believe in the resurrection of the body” every time we say the creed, but the resurrection of the body is one of the least understood elements of the Christian faith.
🤍 Where the Head goes, so does the Body. And where Christ, the Head of the Church goes, so will we go. If He passes through suffering and death, but rises in a glorified body, so will we and our loved ones one day.
🤍 Take 5 minutes to journal and imagine what the resurrected body will be like. What loved ones do you look forward to seeing in heaven? What does it mean to say that our bodies will participate in heaven?

Why the name “Seeking Eros?” According to Pope John Paul II, “The fullness of ‘eros’ implies the upward impulse of the human spirit toward what is true, good and beautiful.”
Eros, properly understood, is the desire in us that directs us to God.
“The desire for God is written in the human, because man is created by God and for God, and God never ceases to draw man to himself. Only in God will he find the truth and happiness he never stops searching for. The dignity of man rests above all on the fact that he is called to communion with God.” CCC 27
Take 5 minutes to list the things you are attracted to that are good, true and beautiful. How do we make our homes places of goodness, truth, and beauty?”
