๐โจ A Fresh Start Awaits โ Sankofa Winter 2026 Session โจ๐
As we close out the fall session, Iโve been reflecting on what a journey this season has been โ for our students, our teachers, and our community. ๐
Weโve been analyzing the world around us in Proofโs in the Puddinโ (Citizen Politics) and Pan-African History Class, digging deep into how politics, power, and people shape our present reality โ and how knowing our history helps us reclaim our future. ๐
In Math is a Language of the Universe Class and Imbali Pre-Algebra Class, our students are discovering that math is not a mystery โ itโs our birthright. The same precision and rhythm that built pyramids, calendars, and constellations flow through their work. ๐งฎโจ
In Book of Life: English Mastery for College Entrance Class, students are finding their voices โ learning that writing isnโt just about grammar or exams, but storytelling, expression, and legacy. โ๐พ
In Research & Report: An African Diaspora Exploration Class, learners are becoming investigators of truth โ tracing the movement, migration, and brilliance of African people across the globe, connecting dots too often left out of traditional history books. ๐
Decolonizing Science Class has reminded us that science is not new to us โ itโs a birthright. Students are exploring nature, biology, and invention through an African lens, rediscovering that our ancestors were scientists, builders, and innovators long before textbooks said so. ๐ฌ๐ฟ
Our youngest learners in I Am Brilliant Class are strengthening literacy and numeracy in a joyful, affirming way โ learning that brilliance isnโt earned; itโs already inside them. โจ
And in The Universe Within (Pre-K) Class, our littlest Sankofa scholars are building a culturally affirming foundation from the very beginning โ through yoga, mindfulness, and stories that teach peace, pride, and purpose. ๐๐ง๐พโโ๏ธ
In Love & Logic (LSAT Prep for Homeschoolers) Class, students are sharpening their minds for a future where our community needs more sound legal thinkers โ voices who will defend, advocate, and rebuild systems rooted in justice. โ๏ธ
Some of our classes โ Principles of Problem Solving, Cooking with Goodness, Ga, Twi, Yoruba, Sing & Movement, Mandarin through the Arts, Autobiographical Investigation: Tupac Shakur, Ubora Algebra 1 & 2, and Herbal Recipes & Potions โ are resting this season as we prepare to bring them back even stronger. ๐ฟ
Each one represents a vital piece of the Sankofa experience โ spaces for creativity, culture, healing, and self-expression. These courses remind us that learning isnโt just academic; itโs soulful, sensory, and deeply human. When enrollment opens again, we know families will be ready โ and these classes will return with even more energy, depth, and brilliance. ๐ซ
Now, as we prepare for the Winter 2026 Session (beginning January), itโs time for a fresh start. ๐ฟ
If youโve been watching from the sidelines, now is the time to join us.
If youโve been thinking, โI want my child to learn in an environment that affirms who they are,โ โ this is your sign.
