Stop Waiting: The Perfect Time Will Never Come

We all suck when we first start.

It’s easy to fall into the trap of waiting to be ready, but you’ll never be ready.

Start now. Stop waiting.

You’ve got this my friends.

Are you living on purpose, making life happen for you, or are you watching life happen to you?

What does it mean to stop waiting? Do you need to set your whole life on fire and abandon all responsibility?

Not at all. It can mean becoming the “observer” and the protagonist in the smallest areas of your life. At home, at work, in a new hobby or proficiency.

What are you waiting for?

For many we want to analyze and prepare until the end of time. Were “waiting to be ready” to begin. Why is this? In truth, well never be completely ready.

The boat project has become a perfect analogy for todays episode. The thing will not fix itself. It doesn’t matter how much I read, analyze, and prepare nothing will happen unless I act. It also seems that every time one problem is solved another arises. This is exactly how life works, its exactly how mastery of any subject works. At each level of excellence, the goal post will move. Unfortunately you are either growing or you are dying.

So how do you get past analysis paralysis?

As JJ Jones would say: “Clarity is in the doing”

You’ve just got to start and understand and KNOW that EVERYONE began somewhere.

You don’t see the blooper real on social media, people hide their mistakes and the quick sand. I do this as well. This project, however, will hopefully show you that everyone stumbles and falls. Everyone fails. The difference is what your do after that.

“Failure is the best teacher”

Get on out there this week and start doing, just try, start small, and before you know it you’ll be on your way.

Hello my friends, its been a long time!

This page was formally "The Millennials Almanac" which has gone on permanent hiatus. Since then the world has changed quite a bit...

I am rebranding this podcast to "Stop Waiting: The Perfect Time Will Never Come". The content and messaging will remain quite similar, but the way we reach people is going to change.

I received a lot of positive feedback on the previous show, and I am excited to move forward with the mission of helping to liberate people from analysis paralysis, limiting beliefs, and all of the psychological side effects of our fast paced "plugged in" society.
