As we observe Veterans Day, we stand united to express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our nation.

A heartfelt thank you extends to the wives, husbands, and family members of those heroes. Your unwavering support and sacrifices are the backbone of their service.

We would also like to shine a spotlight on our very own heroes, Msgt Deschamps, for an incredible 27 years of service in the Marines, and Major Wright, for an admirable 22 years of service in the Marines. Your dedication, leadership, and service inspire us all.

To all our heroes, we say, "Thank you." ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’™

Our Gratitude Campaign isn't just about collecting items; it's about making a positive impact in our community, nurturing kindness, and teaching the importance of giving back. Together, we can make a difference, one can at a time!

The grade with the most donated items will be treated to an off-campus lunch, savoring the taste of victory upon their return from the break.

Not only will we recognize grade-level champions, but the advisory class with the most donated items in each grade will enjoy some outside time, celebrating their exceptional teamwork.

This past week, the halls of CHEC were filled with laughter, learning, and the vibrant spirit of Cat Island, Bahamas!

Our CHEC scholars warmly hosted eight incredible students and three dedicated chaperones from the pristine shores of Cat Island. Together, they embarked on a journey to expand their horizons, cultivate their entrepreneurial skills, and create lasting bonds.

With determination and innovation at the forefront, our students joined forces to tackle the Shark Tank Challenge and Business Plan. In the heart of Washington, D.C., they collaborated to build on the plans they initiated in the spring of 2023 in Cat Island, focusing on eco-tourism and sustainable business practices. Our visitors from Cat Island had the opportunity to explore the rich history and culture of Washington, D.C. They ventured to iconic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, African American History Museum, and the Air and Space Museum. They also took a college tour of Georgetown University.

In the true spirit of unity, our Bohemian students took part in the exciting spirit week activities and cheered on our homecoming games, leaving their indomitable mark on our vibrant school community.

Thank you, Cat Island, for bringing a piece of your paradise to our home at CHEC. Until we meet again, let's keep the spirit of exchange and collaboration alive! ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒ
