I have friends who are dealing with this and are facing the prospect of having to throw away basically everything they own- whatever didn’t burn is now covered in toxic ash. If you’ve been wondering how to help people in California, here’s an option.

Thanks to everyone who has reached out to us with concern and support. If you’d like to contribute, this fund will be used by Caltech and JPL to support our colleagues and their families greatly impacted by the devastating fires. https://giving.caltech.edu/areas-to-support/relief

I learned that some folks saved eclipse glasses from 2017 for the next eclipse on April 8. Eclipse glasses expire! ***YOU NEED NEW GLASSES TO PROTECT YOUR EYES.
I have a LIMITED supply of eclipse glasses. Comment or like this if you would like me to give you up to 5 pairs! You will have 90% eclipse near DC, so it should be pretty good 👍🏻

*if you are a teacher, contact me by March 8 and I will try to get some for your classroom, but no guarantee. I can send you links to buy NASA-approved glasses
