🌊*LA GUERRA DEL AGUA* es un sketch teatral que hemos desarrollado durante nuestros talleres internos de Teatro Experimental. Queremos compartir con ustedes nuestro sentir y las diferentes formas de relación con el agua como material base para desarrollar este taller comunitario, y crear redes de solidaridad y organización comunitaria.

🔴🎭*POPULAR THEATER WORKSHOP - THE WAR ON WATER*

We invite you to join our first workshop of the year on Saturday, April 26th, to generate reflections, ideas, and actions on the privatization of water in different countries of Abya Yala, based on image.

🌊*THE WAR ON WATER* is a theatrical sketch we developed during our internal Experimental Theater workshops. We want to share with you our feelings and the different ways we relate to water as a base for developing this community workshop and creating networks of solidarity and community organizing.

El Teatro del Oprimido es una metodología empoderante que les da a las comunidades agencia y un rol activo en las artes🎨🎭Mediante técnicas teatrales, los participantes interrogan las estructuras opresivas que moldean sus realidades y descubren vías para la acción colectiva y la transformación.
Estamos fomentando vínculos profundos con nuestras comunidades, colaborando para generar conciencia y fortalecer la unidad🫂 A través del movimiento físico y la exploración creativa, identificamos y exploramos las problemáticas más urgentes que enfrentan nuestras comunidades migrantes y de clase trabajadora aquí en el DMV, y buscamos maneras de amplificar el poder y el impacto de las prácticas del Teatro del Oprimido.

Theatre of the Oppressed is an empowering methodology that gives communities agency and active role in the arts🎭🎨 Using theatrical techniques, participants examine the oppressive structures that shape their realities and uncover avenues for collective action and transformation.

We are fostering deep connections with our communities, collaborating to raise consciousness and strengthen unity🫂Through physical movement and creative exploration, we identified and explored the most pressing challenges facing our working class and migrant communities here in the DMV area, and brainstormed ways to amplify the power and impact of Theatre of the Oppressed practices.

In resistance to death, the land spits roots.
