Women’s entrepreneurship:
-Gives women economic & financial autonomy
Reduces extreme poverty
-Provides food security
-Helps children get educated

But it can also:
-Create financial stress
-Increase gender-based violence
-Increase labor burdens for women
-Create harmful work environments–especially for children

We are taking a holistic, responsible approach to women’s entrepreneurship through the Riches for Women's Empowerment RICHES project. Along with U.S. Department of Labor and ABA Rule of Law Initiative, Grameen has launched a toolkit to help financial service providers and other organizations empowering women spread awareness of and safeguard against harmful child work.

We invite you to join us for the launch of the toolkit on Feb. 15: https://go.grameenfoundation.org/riches
