🧡 October is ADHD Awareness Month, and as someone who’s walked this path with my son, I wanted to share a bit of our story.

I started TigerKubz in 2019, not knowing then that my son had ADHD. I just knew he learned differently—he was incredibly active, but his love for learning was undeniable. Creating hands-on activities helped engage his curiosity. These moments shaped TigerKubz and helped me understand my son’s unique learning needs.

I chose this quote because parents of kids with ADHD have it hard, too. Along the way, I’ve heard it all—the gaslighting from schools, friends, and even family, the need to educate others that ADHD is real, and the stigma that surrounds it.

The weight lifted off my shoulders when my son was diagnosed was immense. Finally, I could stop wondering why parenting seemed so much harder for me and trust that I was doing my best.

🌿 To parents who think their child might learn differently: Trust your instincts. It may not be ADHD, but learning how your child learns best is invaluable. Give yourself grace, seek resources, and know you’re not alone. I’m rooting for you. ❤️

🌍 To those unfamiliar with ADHD: impulsivity, overly energetic, or even inattentiveness, are surface level symptoms, they are their way of processing and reacting to a world that feels overwhelming. So much more is going on that you can’t see. They’re learning to manage emotions, focus, and regulate impulses at their own pace, which often differs from their peers along with the biological differences in their brain. Offer empathy, not judgment. Every parent and child is navigating this in the best way they can.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 To family members of kids with ADHD: ADHD isn’t a reflection of bad parenting or lack of discipline. It’s a different way of processing the world. Listen, support, educate yourself, and believe in your loved one’s potential.

Raising awareness isn’t just about the diagnosis—it’s about fostering understanding, patience, and connection, which makes a better world for all 🧡
