Did Native Americans live in the district?

Where did they live?

What did they do?

Right here in my own neighborhood. Native Americans lived. What a rich history.

What a great two-day event. City Gate had a presence at the DC Baptist Convention held in Ft. Washington, MD at the Ft. Washington Baptist Church. Dr. Lynn was on hand to tell the onlookers his pen story, and how we are developing High Impact Tutoring and novel studies to “open the gate to a brighter future” for our students. Many of them understood his heart for this work. He and Rev. Loretta had multiple opportunities to network with potential volunteers, donors, and partners.

What a night we had last night. We welcomed Commissioner Dolores Bryant to speak with our families about our children, community and services in the community. We had a great time with lots of food.
Thank you, Commissioner Dolores Bryant aka Miracle,

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on mental health. With the stress of the pandemic, social isolation, and economic uncertainty, many people are experiencing increased anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. It's important to prioritize self-care and seek support if needed, whether through therapy, medication, or other resources. Remember, it's okay to not be okay, and seeking help is a sign of strength.

Mental health and self-care are crucial aspects of education. While academic success is important, it should not come at the cost of our well-being. It's important for students and educators alike to prioritize their mental health, whether that means taking breaks, seeking support, or practicing self-care habits. By prioritizing mental health and self-care, we can create a more compassionate and supportive learning environment for all.
