North Coast Community Sailing

Opti Sailors (ages 8-12) are in for a treat with a week-long class on Lake Superior to learn the basics of sailing, including rigging, terminology, points of sail, boat handling, knot tying, and general seamanship. Our instructors ensure each student is challenged, regardless of ability or experience, in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.

Happy First Day of Summer! School District students have been in and on the water all week as part of their summer school. We love sharing the outdoor classroom with these students!

Our new 420 fleet has arrived! These boats lived their previous life in New Orleans as racing boats for Tulane. We are happy to welcome them to fresh water and to be used as practice boats for teen sailors learning to race and handle this size boat.

Our Sonar went in the water yesterday! This is the boat that we take our Kindersailors out in! Students as young as 4 spend time building confidence around the water and on the boat with our instructors. 6 sessions of Kindersail available, starting June 24th!
