Hip Hip Hooray! We had our first Rotary Reader today! We would like to say Thank You to Mr. Bruce (Boyce) who came to read us some pumpkin and Halloween stories! He came to the morning and afternoon classes! We hope he had lots of fun with us! Can you pick out which picture they made a scary face in? 🎃 😊

We are proud recipients and supporters of Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation! They have provided endless training and support for our staff and numerous grants that benefit the Family Education Center and children in the community. Thank you for supporting early childhood education!

One of the things we work on in preschool is fine motor skills! That doesn't always mean writing and cutting paper though! There are lots of things we do that help to strengthen those muscles...and they can even be FUN! Here are some pictures of some fun things the children are doing in class using playdough, sensory table objects, paint brushes, small toys like legos and other manipulatives, and even toothpicks! This is just a small sampling of things that help to strengthen those little muscles so they can use writing and cutting utensils with accuracy as they mature.

We are sharing this in support of our friends in New Richland who are recoverving from devastating flooding last week. There are some wonderful organizations coordinating an effort to support them. We understand not everyone can contribute financially, but you can share the post!

Guess what! We have a few openings in our ECFE classes! We believe parents are a child's first and most imporatnt teacher. Coming to ECFE is a chance to come to come to class with other parents and thier children. It is great for interaction for both parents and children! Come and have fun in the classroom with differnet toys and themes, talk with parents while children play and even do art! We would love to have you! We have openings in our Tuesday evening class and 1 spot in our Wednesday morning class. Log into Eleyo, or create an account, to register! Woo hoo! We had a great evening at the Transportation Fair on Thursday. We want to thank all of the volunteers who brought a vehicle to show off to families! Here are some of the pictures from the night! We did try to tag some of the groups that brought the vehicles in the photos, but for some reason it isn't allowing us to...so go ahead and tag yourself in the photos if wanted!
