A successful small group session with Beautiful Abled and this amazing group of learners.
✨Special Activities of the Day✨
⭐️Show & Tell: Everyone got to share their special item by stating what it was, what made it special, and anything they were willing to share! This opens up opportunities for question asking, sharing, critical thinking, recalling information, confidence, public speaking, listening skills, and much more! Our friends shared a Toothless mask, a pink Hello Kitty car, and Mickey Mouse! Even Liam brought his favorite toy: his horses!
⭐️With Liam’s favorite horse toys, our friends were able to use their creativity to paint the horses, give them names, and wash them! This promotes fine motor skills, direction following, creativity, sensory integration, teamwork, and communication. Thank you for joining us 🤍

⭐️Welcome Corbin ⭐️
We had the pleasure of welcoming our little friend to Beautifully Abled!
Typical Lineup for the First Sessions:
🤍 Rules: We go over our barn rules to keep us & our horses safe. We demonstrate the rules with models & visuals to aid in comprehension, expectations, & safety.
🤍 Grooming: We learn how to groom our horse by learning where we can safely groom the horse, how to maneuver our own body around the horse, which tools to use, how to use them, & the importance of taking care of our horse.
🤍 Horse Painting: We work with our horse to create a one of a kind abstract painting! What is so special about this? We work as a team! We pick the colors and the horse paints for us! (Yes- the horse paints!)
🤍 Listening Game: We incorporate a listening game such as red light/green light or Simon Says so we can get used to handling the horse, having our listening ears on, working together, and having fun in our relaxing environment!
During all of this fun we are working on listening skills, communication, comprehension, safety/body awareness, using gentle hands, question asking, critical thinking, & MUCH more …. All while building an interpersonal relationship with the horse and those around us!
