It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mr. Henry “Hank” Hatcher, a dedicated champion of career and technical education and a cornerstone of the SkillsUSA Rhode Island community. Hank's unwavering commitment to students and his passion for workforce development made an indelible impact on countless lives.

Hank began his journey with VICA, now known as SkillsUSA, as an advisor while teaching at the Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center, where he inspired his students to reach their full potential and helped shape the future of skilled trades in our state. His guidance extended far beyond the classroom as he continued to serve SkillsUSA Rhode Island as Executive Treasurer for nearly 30 years.

Through his leadership, dedication, and belief in the power of technical education, Hank was a steadfast supporter of SkillsUSA RI initiatives, helping the organization grow and empower generations of students to develop their skills, leadership, and confidence. His legacy will live on in the achievements of the many students, teachers, and industry partners he supported throughout his career.

We extend our deepest condolences to Hank’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will remain a beacon of inspiration for the SkillsUSA community for years to come.

Thank you, Hank, for your years of service, your dedication, and your heart. You will be deeply missed.
