Mr. Richard Ross started repairing band instruments for Axelrod music in 1960 for 10 years. This was in North Providence.
He then moved on to starting his own business in 1970, called Ross's Repair Service. After 15 years of repairing band instruments, Mr. Ross started Ross Music Sales & Service on 1470 Mineral Spring Avenue in 1975. He continued working there until 1984, then the store was moved to 1243 Mineral Spring Avenue until 2001. The third and current store opened in 1993 which still exists today at 1800 Post
