Hello all

As it turns out the area we had planned to investigate in Androscoggin county Maine is almost entirely private land. We had planned to investigate the area of a sighting on the BFRO website. Since we are unable to. We are going to refocus our investigations to more public woods and national forests/parks as they usually have open spots to set up camps

Drove west to the area we are planning to do an investigation in this past weekend. It's as recently as 2020 had a daylight sighting. Waiting on some equipment and looking for a spot we would be able to access. It's a very good looking place with a lot of potential! Stay tuned ~Dan

As you may have noticed. The name of the group has changed to New England Wood Ape Research, or N.E.W.A.R. The idea of this name change is to expand our research into the greater New England area. In the coming months research into sightings in Northern New England are going to start as I get more settled in Maine.
