📚 Throwback Thursday! A Wise Owl Reads Memory 📚

Some pictures capture more than a moment… they capture a memory.

This photo was taken a couple of years ago when one of our Village dads joined his daughter’s classroom for our Wise Owl Reads Program. I happened to capture this sweet moment between the two of them, and it still makes my heart smile.

At The Village Childcare, Wise Owl Reads invites our families into the classroom to share the joy of reading with our children. Families can choose a favorite book from their own childhood, a book their child loves, or simply a story that holds a special place in their heart. They get to tell the children why they chose it and then enjoy the simple gift of reading together.

But it’s about so much more than the book.

It’s about our children seeing the people they love become part of their classroom. It’s about creating memories, building connections, and showing them that reading can be something warm, joyful, and shared.

And this picture says it all, the way she is looking up at her daddy while he holds that book. 🥹That is the love of reading being created right before our eyes.

These are the moments that remind us why we say…

Some people touch so many lives that their love continues long after they're gone. ❤️

Today, with full hearts, we are honored to introduce Grandma Payne's Little Free Library.

If your child has attended The Village over the last couple of years, chances are they came home with one (or many!) of Grandma Payne's crafts. She wasn't just a visitor.She was family. She filled our classrooms with laughter, creativity, and love, and had a special way of making every child feel seen and loved.

We will miss her every single day, but we know the kindness she shared will live on. This little library is our promise that her legacy will continue through every book borrowed, every story shared, and every child who discovers the joy of reading.

Grandma Payne believed in children, in kindness, and in creating beautiful memories. We hope she would be proud to know that her love will continue to inspire our Village for years to come.

We love you, Grandma Payne. We will miss you beyond words. ❤️

What a fun week! Our campers enjoyed princess and pirate-themed activities, lots of laughs, and an exciting bowling trip! 🎳 We loved making so many great memories together.

🎪 Week 2 of Summer Camp: Big Top Circus! 🎪

What an amazing week! Our campers had a blast with circus-themed crafts, games, and activities, made new friends, shared lots of laughs, and created unforgettable memories. From exciting adventures to nonstop smiles, it was a week full of fun!
