🍂 From nature walk to process art! Explore the Connecting Schema!

The children started by heading outdoors to collect fall leaves and add them to their frames. Then we brought their nature finds inside and added paint and cotton swabs.
Dots, lines, patterns and designs—the children decided how they wanted to decorate their frames. 🎨

📬 Fine Motor Mail!

Love this DIY idea!

We covered a cardboard box with paper, added coloured slots, and created matching coloured “mail.” Children choose a piece of mail, find the matching colour and slide it through the slot. 📮

As they grasp, position and push each piece through, they’re strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while also practising colour recognition and matching.

A simple play invitation: roads and tunnels

We made roads from cardboard and tunnels from construction paper, then added toy vehicles for children to explore.

The children can rearrange the roads, drive through the tunnels, and see where their routes take them. It’s a simple setup with lots of room for their own ideas!
