It is with unfathomable sadness, that I share news my beloved husband, Arnold (Arnie-Man) Prisco, passed away Sunday night. We are devastated but in the interest of reaching as many friends as possible, Alexa and I thought Facebook might help. Feel free to share.

Arnold (Arnie-Man) Prisco, age 58 of Chester, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15th, 2024, at his home with his wife and daughter by his side.

Born in Mount Vernon, NY to Josephine (DiPasquale) and the late Arnold Prisco, Arnie grew up in Vernon, NJ and lived in Upper Greenwood Lake, Hewitt before settling in Chester, NY fifteen years ago. In his youth, Arnie volunteered with the Vernon Ambulance Squad. Arnie never met a stranger. He was quick to offer help when needed and could fix anything. A true Rennaissance man – a great provider and protector. He loved to cook and feed his family; make sauce from scratch every summer. A man of integrity, a proud father, devoted husband and doting son. He worked hard and loved to have a good time. He enjoyed hunting, was an avid Harley enthusiast and an amazing dog dad. An original ‘foodie’ he loved a good meal and made any dinner companion enjoy theirs more too. Arnie worked 35 years for the Ricoh Corporation (Senior Architect, Technology Solutions) and was cherished by colleagues and customers.

Predeceased by his father, Arnie is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Ellen Stepanski; daughter Alexa Prisco; and his mother, Josephine Prisco. He also leaves behind an extended family and many beloved friends.

Visitation for Arnie will be held on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, from 4-8PM at the Ferguson—Vernon Funeral Home (One Vanderhoof Court for GPS), 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07462. The funeral service will Friday, September 20th, 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.support.woundedwarriorproject.org), the Vernon Township Ambulance Squad (https://vernonems.com), and The Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center (https://www.winslow.org).

Hey Vernon and Warwick people, there’s a few of us going to Pennings Farm for the new beer garden tonight. It’s a beautiful night to be outside. It’s all new and a great spot, you can also eat out there if you want. Theres an Acoustic Neil Young performer tonight that starts at 8 o’clock. If anyone would like to join we are meeting there around 6 o’clock to have a bite to eat and a few adult beverages.... stop by if you’re in the area.

Friday June 23rd at Pennings Farm Cidery
5:30 to 10:00 Adult beverages inc their award winning ciders, beer (a variety of local craft and domestic) wines and specialty cocktails. Food will be available for purchase.
Relax and catch up indoors or outside at this amazing place with the best sunset view in the area. Shuffle board, horseshoes and a variety of activities for those who don't think of cider/beer tasting as a sport
(I know I know.. as if that is a question for our class)
This promises to be an enjoyable evening in a casual environment where we can all catch up, laugh, eat, drink and enjoy the music.
Although this is a class of 83 get together, all other classes are welcome to join. The more the merrier. Please send me a quick message if you're planning on attending so we can give the Cidery an approximate head count. Hope to see you all there. Please share or tag others that I have missed.

Hey Vernon class of 1983 and all others that are around, we are having a get together at the Vernon Inn next Saturday at 6:30 for all that want to join in.

Class of 83 peeps. Looks like I was able to secure the tables under the tent outside at the Vernon inn for Saturday night. They will give us 2 waiters/waitresses for just our group. So from 6-8 at least, lets try to stay in that area. It will give everyone a chance to catch up too. There is a good band playing which starts around 7:30 so you will have time to eat if you want before the music starts. I ask that you please take care of the help since they will be concentrating on our group and not taking other tables for dinner hours. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Cheers

Don't forget our venue has changed. We will be getting together at the Vernon Inn at 6 instead of Pennings. More casual atmosphere and pay as you go. Feel free to pass along to other classmates from 82-85. The more the merrier

In the next few days, we will have the paypal link up and running so that you guys can start reserving your tickets for the reunion. The ticket price will be $78 per person. If you choose to use a credit card there will be a $2 surcharge to cover the expense from paypal. You will also have the option to send a check for payment if that is easier. I will post all the details shortly. Please be sure to reserve your tickets early as we will not be able to sell at the door.
