Good Afternoon and Happy Father’s Day!

We hope everyone has enjoyed a fun-filled month of June. As we enter the last week of school, we wanted to share a few important reminders:

📘 Yearbooks
A limited number of yearbooks are available for purchase. Eighth-grade students who have not yet purchased a yearbook will receive first priority. Yearbooks are $40 and may be purchased with cash or check.

📅 Last Day of School
The last day of school is Friday, June 26, with an early dismissal at 10:30 a.m.

💙 Thank You!
As another wonderful school year comes to a close, we want to thank all of our members and supporters. Because of your generosity, we were able to provide field trips, assemblies, staff appreciation events, and so much more for our students.

Thank you for making the 2025–2026 school year such a success. We wish all of our Warwick Valley Middle School families a safe, relaxing, and happy summer!

⭐ Congratulations to Our Shining Star Award Recipient, Kristin Orthmann! ⭐

Each year, the Warwick Valley Central School District PTAs recognize a special individual whose dedication and service make a lasting impact on our schools and community. This year, we are thrilled to honor Kristin Orthmann as our Shining Star Award recipient.

Kristin has been an invaluable member of the Middle School PTA, leading the design and coordination of our Spiritwear and serving as co-chair of Foreign Language Week. Her creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment help make so many of our programs and events a success.

Beyond her involvement with the PTA, Kristin is an extraordinary community member who consistently gives her time and talents to support others. Her kindness and dedication truly embody the spirit of this award.

Thank you, Kristin, for everything you do for our students, schools, and community. We are grateful for your hard work and proud to recognize you as this year’s Shining Star! 💜💛✨

8th Grade Field Trip is tomorrow THURSDAY June 11th! Be on time ⭐️

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 8th Grade Formal such a special and unforgettable evening for our students!

A huge thank you to Mr. Yapkowitz, Mr. Radon, Mr. Rao, our SROs Officer Tooma and Officer Servis, Mr. Avila, and the Criminal Justice student team for their support and for helping the night run so smoothly.

A special thank you to our amazing custodial staff, especially Custodian Chris, and to the Food Service Department, led by Julie Helmrich, for all of their hard work behind the scenes.

We received so many generous donations of food and decor and we THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

A special shout-out to Trailside Treats and Warwick Drive-In for their generous food donations, and to SEPTA for providing a Calm Room for any student who needed a quiet space during the event.

Most importantly, thank you to our 8th grade students for bringing the smiles, laughter, and memories that made the night so special. You all looked incredible, and it was a joy to celebrate this milestone with you.

As you prepare to leave middle school behind and head toward high school, we wish you nothing but success, happiness, and unforgettable adventures ahead.

This is the last call for 8th Grade Formal Tickets. The dance is this Friday June 5th from 7:00-9:00pm. Students may start arriving to the dance at 6:45pm, and must be dropped off and picked up by car. Pick up is no later than 9:00PM. Pick up and drop off is door 9, the gym doors.

The last day to buy tickets is this Tuesday. NO TICKETS will be sold after this Tuesday. Click the link below to purchase tickets.

As we enter the final few weeks of middle school for our 8th grade students, we look ahead to an exciting and memorable end to the school year for the WVMS Class of 2026. Below is a list of important upcoming events and activities specifically for our 8th grade students and families.

Return to WVMS: Approximately 6:00 PM
Students must have transportation home from the middle school upon return. All students should wear their 8th grade shirt, which will be distributed during the 8th grade assembly. Students should also bring a change of clothes. Lunch will be provided, and spending money is optional.
